We are super excited to add Reflexology to our course calendar. Here is some basic information about the course. For full course details, registration, and instructor bio, visit our Reflexology page.
Course Duration: 9 weeks - 26 CEU, Category A
Weeks 1-4: One 8 hour class per week (Friday). Weekly independent assignments.
Weeks 5-8: Clinical Cases - 50 treatments (independent - outside of class)
Week 9: Clinical Case Review. In-class theory and practical exam.
Upon successful completion of our Reflexolgy course, you will be awarded a Certification. This Certification will grant the holder, if a RMT, to use Reflexolgy within the Scope of Practice under the guidelines of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. If your intent is to use Reflexolgy as a complementary modality and bill it under Massage Therapy (when used as part of a Massage Therapy Treatment or used in the context of a Massage Therapy Treatment Plan), membership to a Reflexology association is NOT required. The RMT would need to contact their professional liability insurance provider to add Reflexology to their already existing policy (dependent on the company, premiums may or may not change).
If you are intending to use Reflexology outside of the Scope of Practice for Massage Therapy and plan to refer to yourself as a Reflexologist, you may join either the Reflexology Registration Council of Ontario or Reflexology Association of Canada. They will require proof of your certification and will grant you the opportunity to challenge their exams.
Our first offering for Reflexology is April 6. Make sure to check out our Course Calendar for upcoming course start dates.
