Reflexology

$900 + HST

Course Description:

Reflexology is holistic body work that is aimed to encourage healing and reduce ailments through natural means. The technique involves applying pressure to specific areas or reflexes on the feet that are suggested to be correlated to parts of the body – glands, organs, muscles, and joints.

Upon successful completion of this Reflexology Certification course, you may practice in the follow ways:

  • Use Reflexology within its' full scope, practice as a Reflexologist:

    • If you are a seeking to practice within the FULL scope of Reflexology and use the title Reflexologist, all participants (RMTs and Non-RMTs) are advised to obtain full Reflexology liability coverage prior to commencing practice.

    • *Note: for RMTs: your current liability insurance will only cover you when using Reflexology within the Scope of Practice of Massage Therapy. There are insurance companies that we can suggest to obtain full coverage.

  • Use Reflexology as a complementary modality to Massage Therapy:

    • If you are a RMT, you may use Reflexology as a complementary modality to Massage Therapy Treatment or within the context of a Massage Therapy Treatment Plan. In this case, as long as you are using Reflexology within the Scope of Practice for Massage Therapy, you may practice and bill under your RMT license.

    • The RMT should contact their current professional liability insurance provider and add Reflexology to their policy. Depending on your provider, there may or may not be an increase in your insurance premiums.

There is no governing body that regulates the practice of Reflexology in Ontario. There are associations, such as the Reflexology Registration Council of Ontario (RRCO) and the Reflexology Association of Canada (RAC). To become a member of either associations, you must either obtain Reflexology education from one of their approved schools or you may challenge their exam if your education was obtained elsewhere.
