This course is available in class, or live online. Those participating online should have a family member or friend with them to practice on (bonus if you have access to a pregnant person, or a friend using a wheelchair, but any body will do!) Christine will ask online participants to arrive 30 minutes early and keep their cameras on. She would like to be able to give feedback to those not in class.

Duration:

8 hours

Delivery Model:

In-class or Live Stream (1 day)

Modules:

Module 1:

Christine will use her inclusive focus on family and friends tutorial techniques for working in triads. Participants will be teaching tutorials for pregnancy and labour and delivery.

There will be a baby massage class with as many babies as possible attending for the last hour, using the Birthing in Good Hands book as the guide throughout the morning.

Module 2:

Christine will have participants spending time in a wheelchair to give and get a massage as well as learning to teach wheelchair techniques. The Wheeling in Good Hands book will guide this module.

Module 3:

Students/participants will know what it feels like to be “rib raked”; to be massaged in a wheelchair and to be able to massage their grandparents, parents or spouses immediately. The opportunity to talk about the departures for all of us will be included here. The Dying in Good Hands book will be used in this final session.
